Backyard Apothecary lives in the hands, heart, and vision of Calli Basile—an herbalist, small business owner, and deeply creative soul rooted in community and connection.
What started as making small-batch herbal skincare and remedies has grown into something much bigger: a space where people can feel seen, supported, and inspired to reconnect with natural living. Calli’s work is grounded in real life—balancing motherhood, business, and personal growth—while creating products and experiences that feel both practical and meaningful.
She believes herbalism shouldn’t feel intimidating or out of reach. It should feel like something you can bring into your everyday life—through a cup of tea, a healing salve, or a quiet moment of care.

Backyard Apothecary was never meant to be built alone.
Tawny, the heart behind Wild Woman Wellness, was a co-creator of this vision—a woman deeply connected to the earth, to healing, and to helping others find their way back to themselves. Her passion for herbalism and natural wellness was rooted in authenticity, intuition, and lived experience.
She believed in the power of plants, but even more than that, she believed in people.
Backyard Apothecary carries her spirit in everything it becomes—from the herbs on the shelves to the conversations shared within its walls. Her influence is woven into the foundation of this space, a reminder that this work is about connection, healing, and showing up for others in a real way.
